103 Mount Ida from the A.L.Persia Probably 9/5 3.30 p.m. 8.5 x 19 cm Private collection (sold by Fine Art Society 2004, prev. provenance Dott Giorgio Ajmone Marsan, London). Lear has dated the drawing May 31st, but the time of day and numbering which relates well to his Persia voyage from Rethymnon to Heraklion (and to drawing 101) indicate this is an error. Possibly he found the drawing undated after his trip and given the subject description dated it according to his final departure from Crete on the Persia on 31st May.
